Meet ASID Washington Metro Industry Partner Melvin Hooks of B&B Italia. Melvin has served on the board of Directors, and multiple chapter committees, and is our Master of Ceremonies at our annual Gala. At the 2024 ASID Washington Metro Gala, the Chapter announced it has renamed its Industry Partner Representative Award to the Boitz/Hooks Partner Merit Award. The Industry Partner Merit Award recognizes ASID Industry Partner representatives for their outstanding contributions to their chapters and the profession. This Award was renamed at the 2024 Gala in honor of Judy Boitz and Melvin Hooks, honor of two industry partners who have given countless hours to improve our chapter.

B&B Italia’s showroom manager is as knowledgeable about design as he is affable. “Assisting clients with furnishings is such a special honor and responsibility.
